| Something wrong with my installation or wrong mounting holes made?
I noticed 2 sets of mounting holes on the front hood area and the manual doesn't state anything about using which ones. which one should I be using? Last edited by novaris; 08-27-2016 at 08:38 AM. |

If you've mounted the shock hoops reversed or in other positions than mentioned in the manual (the rear ones can be mounted in 3 positions) the indents will not line up. Always mock up your shell before making those holes (hindsight is 20/20, sorry). I think I spot a slight forward tilt on your rear shocks so I'm guessing you mounted those on the middle or front holes. Not sure how you can fix the holes in your shell, I think I've read some people managed it. Alternatively, if you relocate the rear shock hoops everything might line up again. You might be able to flip the posts that go into the shock hoops around or to opposite sides and it will place the body back another inch or 2 Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk |

That's a lot of variance. Maybe your top links and bottom links are reversed?

You don't have alternative mounting locations for the front shock hoops.

what I mean is there is just 1 set of dimples for mounting holes on the roof but 2 sets of mounting dimples for the hood (front area) and I have no idea which ones to use after adjusting the rear shock hoops, the rear mounting holes fit nicely over the chassis and rear bumper.

I think they give you the option on if you want to use the narrow body posts that also come in the kit. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk |

| Re: Something wrong with my installation or wrong mounting holes made? There are 2 dimples as shown, A and B on each side of the front part I've already painted the shell so I can't do a test fit to see which dimple is meant for the body post. I've built it as per the manual, standard links and placements etc. Last edited by novaris; 08-30-2016 at 08:13 AM. |

Use a little paint and dab it onto the top of your posts, then gently place your body in alignment to see where you need to drill. I hope you've learned a very valuable lesson. |

My body has only 1 set of dimples but I've never really went by them anyways. I've always mocked the body and reamed the holes before the paint.

The best way to mark your painted body is with a set from PROTOForm. A magnetic cap is placed on the body posts, the body is placed over the posts, magnetic disks with small holes are placed on top of the body. The magnets hold the posts to the body. When you have it where you want it place a mark with a sharpie through the holes in the disks. Remove the disks and body from the posts ,then ream out the holes. You never need to do any reaming until you are done painting. Best money I ever spent. Also use a good quality sharp reamer !
