When I saw the pics on FB via the RPP post, at first I thought SSD was producing the whole axle...I just about shit myself because that's definitely something I would buy! Then I followed the link and saw just the diff covers, which look great BTW.

We will officially release next week. This diff cover will solve any hang up problems with the stock cover. Plenty more SCX10 II goodies in the pipeline...

Give us time, we have to make all the usual upgrades/options first. We wanted to be first with the 2 speed option (again).
A complete axle is on the list...

What material are these? I'm really hoping steel, to help gain some weight down low. As we know, brass beef tubes aren't very heavy for the new axles. I really hope we can get some steel C-hubs and knuckles to help gain weight without weighing down the wheels and putting more strain on the driveline.

CNC machined aluminum. CNC machined steel parts are out of the question really unless you want to pay 4 times the amount.
We will have a solution to your weight issues soon, dont worry ;)

They look great, I gotta say though.... Vendors are dropping the ball on all the aluminum upgrades. The biggest challenge with the 44 axles is adding weight, let's see some heavy ad-on's. Am I alone in this thinking?...
I'm not hating, they do look great!

I think they are worried about the price point on heavier metals.

Heavy diff cover is not what you need. Just wait a few weeks...

Please be new hubs, knuckles, and brass knuckle weights. Or better yet, all brass knuckles.

It's gotta be hubs and knuckles for sure. Maybe spools?
