Tired of dealing with that Axial slipper clutch in your SCX10 II kit?
Eliminate it with our new "Slipper Eliminator Kit"!

WARNING
- Slipper elimination will cause you to have power at all times -
- Ensure your drive train can handle the power -
- Ensure your face can handle the smiles -

This kit includes all the parts you need to do away with the slipper clutch in an SCX10 II "Kit" style transmission, like the AX90046.
This will NOT fit the "AX10" style transmission found in the AX90047 RTR. You must be running the ASCX10 II style transmission found in the AX90046 kit.

For the AX10 style transmission found in the SCX10 II RTR, you want this:
Original Slipper Eliminator

Note that this kit will fit multiple bolt patterns of spur gears.
So if your spur does not line up during installation, rotate it one hole over ;)

We have tested with various Kimbrough, Axial, Traxxas, Robinson Racing, RC4WD and Duratrax spur gears in both 48p and 32p.
For the closest to stock replacement, we recommend the Duratrax DTXC9397 which is a 56t 32p unit.

This gives you the option to run almost any spur out there, and without it, eventually the slipper will slip... when you least want it to.

We've sold thousands of these for the AX10, SCX10 and Wraith.

Don't get me wrong, if you are just bashing around the yard, that's one thing. If you don't mind having to tighten the slipper on occasion, totally fine. But guys that put their trucks in binds in the rocks or run big power will usually get tired of the slipper.

I do more than backyard bashing, have put my trucks in binds on the rocks, and have never had the slipper actually slip. As long as the nut is cranked down, it's fine. Never had one come loose. Being able run a variety of spur gears is cool I guess. I'm not saying you don't make a good product, this one just seams unnecessary for most. I'm glad you've sold thousands for the other models. Either people actually needed them or just simply wanted to change something for the hell of it. There are a lot of things in this hobby that people change for the sake of changing it, and I'll admit that I'm guilty of it. Like you and everyone else here, I come to these forums to share information, offer opinions, and help others.

I can only speak to the experience of our team. If you say your experience is different I won't argue with you.

In fact, totally contrary to the product, I will say slippers that slip are great for most people, especially when they are starting out. They allow you to set a limit without having to run back to the parts bin to fix weak components. Eventually, some people start setting that slipper tighter because they get aggravated with the slipping effect. Then they start to find weak points through breakage and start upgrading parts.

Some people DO find a happy medium. There are certainly top drivers that we compete against that run slippers with success. There are also some of us that would prefer 100% guaranteed traction, no matter what. Some of us prefer to break a part than have a slipper slip, even once. Knowing that we can go full throttle through a bind and it is impossible for anything to slip is a feeling we like.

Our experience is that every slipper will slip at some point (unless it was modified with a screw, glue, etc). That is just our experience. If you have never had an issue, then your experience is different from ours which is not a knock at either of us.

We make a lot of things that a lot of people will never need. Most people also do not need 3S, steel driveshafts, FI spools, OT shafts, free spool winches, adjustable CMS kits or even beadlock wheels. There is a huge population of people that can just skip right past almost everything we offer.

And that is OK with us.

We cater to a small crowd that want things to be as robust, as powerful, as "whatever" as it can be. That is our happy place. Some people live in the happy place with us. Some just visit.... and some walk right past us. And that is totally fine.
