| Front suspension question
Hi Guys, The build is progressing nicely. I had a bunch of rookie questions answered by you all and I really appreciate it. Question about how the 3 link, panhard/trackbar front suspension works: When looking at the truck directly from the front i noticed that the suspension doesn't go straight up and down. It goes from the top left when fully extended to the lower right when fully compressed. Basically when looking at the truck straight on at the front the suspension action goes diagonally instead of straight up and down. Is that how a 3 link suspension with a panhard is supposed to work or did i do something wrong? The rear with the 4 link works fine. Straight up and down. Also my shocks are leaking like crazy. Any suggestions? Oh here is where im at with the build so far. Cant decide what color to paint the beast. |

Yes that is how it is supposed to work, if the axel went straight up your wheels would turn as it moves up and down (bump steer). As far as shocks, mine leaked as well untill is used plumbers tape on the threads and assembled with the shaft mostly compressed Last edited by NitroDarwin; 10-22-2016 at 01:18 PM. |

nooo...this build im kkeeping the way it is...my scx10 i tried to relocate the servo up top and when i saw the suspension move alittle i didnt like it so i put the servo back on axle..this one , i think the king shocks i have on are a tad to long so maybe thats why it moves...
