Default Kit version final drive ratio

Can someone please calculate the FDR for the SCX10 II Kit? The number I have arrived at does not match what Axial has published on their website and I've re-run it several times.

Thanks in advance, this will help keep my Axial vehicle feature comparison chart accurate and up-to-date.

Here are the ratios I came up with:
Spur/Pinion: 56/15 (3.73)
Transmission: 36/18 (2.00)
Transfer Case: 26/20 (1.30)
Differentials: 30/8 (3.75)
FDR: 36.40

Axial says it's 40.44 so it's not a rounding error.

Funny, I geek out on this stuff too. Here is a spreadsheet I had put together comparing the SCX10 II tranny, to RC4WD AX2 and Yeti 2-Speed.

I got 40.46 FDR for the SCX10 II... Problem now is, I don't know where I got the 2.89 number from. I did this spreadsheet several weeks ago. I would need to go back and look at the gears for the tranny and t-case to confirm.

You are right. I'm not sure where Axial got their number...

Maybe their's is based on an earlier version of the kit prototype, but they forgot to update that number when the put together their marketing materials and info for the website.

If the OG SCX was 33.06, then the SCX10-II is only 10% lower FDR (not the 22% the website claims).
