I'd like to see one with an SSD diff cover on it, or an RC4WD ARB cover.

The stock plastic diff covers fit without a problem. Check the first page as the original poster has them on his axle. I don't see why SSD wouldn't fit. Regarding the material, they are advertised as alloy so probably not 100% aluminum. It is a cast product but definitely not pot metal. Only time will tell how well these are made but for the cost, it is worth the gamble. I mean the beef tubes cost 55 dollars for one axle, so easy choice for me. Just a heads up, the overspray from the painting process may make the pinion bearing a little tight so some sandpaper or precise dremeling might be necessary but beyond that, no other issues. I use aluminum ball studs and they all fit along with my STRC lockouts and C-hubs. Last edited by triggerhapy; 01-13-2017 at 05:23 PM. |

I'm sticking with the XJ body on my II. I have scale items up in the rack and will be adding interior, wheel wells etc. These look like another great option to add low weight and fight the toppling XJ body. I've got the SSD SS lower links, C Hubs, knucks and Lock-outs with brass weights all around and Incision XD wheels on the way. Adding in these axles should provide a pretty good base for low weight. I've been almost exclusive with VP and/or SSD on this and my Bomber; but, 20 bucks and 100 additional grams per axle is hard argue against. Hopefully they'll hold up. Absolutely worth the risk for $20. | |

I just installed mine. I needed to fit the pinion bearing on both the front and rear axle, and it wasn't just light sandpapering. Eventually everything went together very easily and the weight difference very noticeable in hand. Happy overall.

Good to hear, mine are sat on the shelf still in the plastic - saving them for the new 10.2 which should be here later this week - fingers crossed!

front axle installed! had to remove some of the painting to properly fit one of the bearings but it was a easy fix 😁 |
