Great update. I have been thinking about that motor esc combo. Time to start shoving $$$ in a jar and get one. Truck still looks totally killer.

Nice update, great pics. I'm also in the market for a HH setup.. can't decide between the 3 kv levels.. trying to make an educated guess on which would be best with my 2 speed SSD kit

Thanxs cinnabun. You can't go wrong with any of the HH PP motors, but for 1.9 the 3500kV is way overkill IMHO. Also, with one of these motors, a 2-speed is definitely not required and is one more thing to possibly fail out on the trail...something to think about.

Well I had trouble finding HH motors in stock so I ended up going with a mamba x and a tekin roc412. I think the 10.2 is going to find itself staying in 1st gear most of the time

Still a wise choice, you will not be disappointed with a Tekin ROC412 series motor.

I'm running a 2200kv HH in my 10.2 rtr and I feel like it is a little too much wheel speed for me and I'm looking to gear down. I'm more of a slow crawler though.

Wrap turned out great, cage and Yota cab go together very well on this 10.2v2! Is that one piece rear bed aluminum panel available somewhere or is it another panel that you cut and bolted in? Kinda hard to tell wtih the scale harvest on top of it lol.

Thank you. The aluminum panels come with the cage section kit. I replaced the side panels with aluminum tread plate as well as the middle section under the "harvest".

I know you said you liked the rc4wd sliders for the v1, but what's your review on these after putting some time in with them? Thanks to you I ordered a set so they better be good. Also is that rifle from hunter Dan?

The 10.2 version of the RC4WD sliders are equally as good as determined from my crawl a few days ago. They will get better with age because I feel the coefficient of friction is better once the sections that usually slide on the rocks are bare steel, the paint/powdercoat feels too grippy! My only minor gripe is that I wish they could be adjusted slightly more inward. The rifle is from a Pro-Line parts pack I bough a couple years ago IIRC.

Good to know thanks. Mine will be on a trail rig and won't get much abuse, but at least I'll know they can take it.

How did the front suspension handle once you fitted the limiters etc?

Great build by the way.

The front end suspension travel didn't suffer at all with the limiters, the performance was incredible and for now, I will not be changing the front shocks at all.

Thanks. I'll have to go back and have a look at exactly what you did.

Does the rockjock axles use scx2 internals? How do they compare to Scx 2 axles?
