Default SCX 10.2 Chevy recovery rig build

So having been out of the game for about 7-8 years I decided to finally get back in and build a mini me of my Hummer H3. Well after hunting g a body, and then buying a Barrage for that project, the bug bit hard.

I got to thinking and decided I wanted a recovery rig too! So I snatched up a 10.2, sold off the jeep body, and bought myself a Proline Chevy Silverado 1500 monster truck body. Originally I wanted a Chevy Honcho body and I was going to make a a customer recover bed.

I decided to got the full truck body for two reasons. 1 I can cut out the lexan bed inside and retain the fenders for the look. And 2 it was available locally for $35. Win win.

Here is the start.

All in all, the paint has its flaws, it was 8 years old lol. And the trimming could be better but it's been 18 years since I've done a entire body. Plus it's going to be a hard use go get em truck so who give a damn!

Part two was today.

Been MIA for the last 5 to 7 years. Getting back into the scale truck scene. Just got the body for my H3 build trimmed up and the mounts figured out. It'll be in the general scale section tomorrow sometime.

Anyone got a recommendation for a 4 to 6 ch radio that's got at least two 3 position channels ? And does not cost an arm and leg....

Possibly looking at a Traxxas 4ch tqi maybe cause I can use the one 3 position channel and the other will work with a different winch controller.

I have a Spektrum dx4s, but I'm thinking of switching to a hacked flysky, look into em, you can have up to 8 channels.

Nice, but the radio, board and a Servo cable don't cost $90 & it doesn't look that hard to do. I'll probably mod my own. Or at least give it a go anyway.

Check out this modded TX. This is the one I am thinking. It has 3 x 3 position switches.
