Default I hear squeaking

Just completed building the SCX10II kit. Runs great but I've got some squeaking going on when driving. I think I've narrowed it down to the rear end. Is this a sign of a bad bearing out of the box?

Very common thing with a lot of crawlers and noticing sounds due to slow speeds. I'm very confident the bearings are fine.

Try putting some wd-40 on all the driveshaft ends where they connect to the outputs. Don't use grease though because it will attract dirt and other particles that will assist in premature wear.

WD40 is not a lubricant and will attract crap. Don't use it.

Well suggest something to to the user than....

Its actually the ball inside the driveshaft yolk, it gets rust residue on it, lithium grease or theres some type of dry grease to use and it won't attract things.

*Update- There is a certain WD-40 to use. https://www.webstaurantstore.com/wd-...oUdRoCz0Pw_wcB

Wd40 has a dry lube that works well. I'll get a pic in a few. Quiets things right down. Goes on wet but it dries very quickly

I will give out my best keep secret for the best rc lube on the planet. I know it has given me a winning performace advantage in 35 years in rc. Its called Dry Ice and its made by Sullivan. Alcohol based dry Teflon. Bearings, bushings, ball studs, hinge pins and bores, gears, anything that moves. It does not attract dirt if let to dry. If you think im kidding, remove the shield from a bearing and clean with brake clean to remove all grease, soak in Dry Ice lube, let dry and replace shield. Any bearing will perform 10 times better and last longer, even ceramics.

Yup, the WD stands for water displacement, or something like that.

As others have mentioned, the WD40 dry lube is good stuff.
