| Batteries for axialfest
My dad and I are running 2 scx10 IIs with mmps and 2300kv roc412s. How long are the trails time wise and what would the best size battery be to get. We're going to stick to 3s so I was thinking we should get the largest capacity batteries at 5000mah 3s. Just wanted to check with you guys before we ordered them. How long would a pack like that last with the setup we're running. Sent from my SM-G920T using Tapatalk |

It depends largely on your driving style but you should get over an hour at least. If you look at the Axialfest page that's the one thing they warn EVERYONE about- "#YOUDONTHAVEENOUGHBATTERIES" is their line so I am bringing TWO sets of lipos for each car plus some NIHMs for backup.

If you drive conservatively with a 5000mah pack you should get 2.5+ hours easy on that motor/ESC setup. I get 2 hours+ out of a 2200 pack in a 10.2 with 2850 castle, and 2 hours+ in a wraith with a 4100 - both trucks are a little heavy. I have been testing the prototype ProTek 3600mah LiHV 3S - myself and others are getting 3.5+ hours easy under pure crawling conditions. It weighs approx 20g more than a 2200 and 100g less than the 4100. Hands down, best pack I have ever run in any of my trucks.

I actually agree with the others here that you can get 2 hours from your setup but I always tend to hedge my bets lol. | |
