Default HR transmission

I just finished installing my new HR trans on my rtr. Took it for a test run. To my surprise it was rather noisy. Yes it's all metal gears. Is this normal to be loud?

Can be, did you open it up and check for lubrication? Are you using the included metal spur gear? If so, yes it will be noisy

I left the nice spur gear installed and it was lubed. I just wanted to be sure before I take it out on a good run through . Thank you bub.

You can replace the stock metal spur for a plastic one, it will be less noisy and it will last a long time
