Default Are my shocks leaking?

Is this normal to get dirt build due to shock oil coming from the shaft? Or a sign of leaking shocks?

Looks like a very slow residual leak, but the dirt sticking right in that area is a sure tell sign that they are in fact leaking.

I've yet to find someone whose found a leak proof shock (that has been used over a long period of time) that doesnt leak, even the Pro-Line Ultras.
Mods including AE GreenSlime and using teflon tape have yeilded excellent results nonetheless.

Ah copy that. I don't see any sign of oil coming down the shock body. So the leak would be from the bottom "cap" for lack of a better term? So on the bottom threads of the shock body is where you recommend the teflon tape?

Most likely the oil is leaking through the packing in the bottom of the shock. It then leaks down the shaft and will spread from there.

Did you use green slime on the o rings inside the lower cap when you built our shocks? If not I recommend you disassemble them and add some

There's only three logical answers to this question regardless of who asks;

1.) Not yet
2.) Yes
3.) They were but now they're empty
