Default Steering Linkage Shock

A 100mm shock to replace your steering linkage,
I did this setup on my old RC4WD Stomper and It worked out good.
It protected the servo, Worked the same as a servo saver more or less and look kind of cool also.
I did stiffen up the shock with a small outer spring and gas tubing in side the main body of the shock.
The shock was a little big for the setup but a more scale RC4WD 100mm shock would look better.
Thinking about doing this setup on my SCX10 II

Or you could just use one of these. These are purpose built.

RC4WD Superlift Adjustable Steering Stabilizer (65mm-90mm)

RC4WD Superlift Adjustable Steering Stabilizer (90mm-120mm)

Now these don't really act as a servo saver as your idea might, but for trailing and crawling a servo saver is not nearly as useful or necessary.

A servo saver just basically is just to protect the servo gears under stress.
Watch this YouTube video this is the same setup using a shock as a servo saver as in my post.

I think the question is why do you need a servo saver for your trail truck? The video you shared was for a guy using that application in a FOFF rig. The steering servo is under a lot more stress in that application and a servo saver is more warranted. With a trail or crawler rig, a servo saver is not necessary because the stress on the servo is very limited. In fact, as long as you have your end points set, a servo saver should not be necessary at all. It would do more harm than good. You want your servo to be able to hold a line. With a servo saver, if it gets under load, it will shift back and not hold the line. Not sure I am explaining this right. Maybe someone else could do better.

I have broke two Savox 1230 cases in mine, granted, it took some gnar hits to do so. I have not had any issues since I relocated the servo to be parallel with the bumper. The shock does look cool though!

I am not that dumb,i know what a servo saver is used for,but what you shown me,it's a high speed truck where forces are way increased then in a trail truck
