Yes you can flip the ring gear in the Diamond, but that means you also have to flip the third member and the pinion/driveshaft will be very low.

What is the reason or advantage/disadvantage of these axles bs the diamond axles? I like the options, but not sure of the reasons for each.

Finally got my pair in the mail to replace the OG SSD injected sxc10 housings on my fallen G6! (thanks to RPP for the quick shipping to AK!!) and I got say SSD, Keep up the great work! Great fit and finish, other than having to swap the front 3rd link (due to the few mm difference between the OG axles and the 10.2 axle mounting locations) was a direct bolt on. They look great, more proportional to the size of the truck/wheels/etc!! (I'll try to post a pic when I get a chance.) Thanks for making some really killer scale looking stuff, and affordable prices!!

I have to agree, I was curious about the separate axle tubes going into the center section, especially since they are different materials. But the figment upon assembly does inspire a lot of confidence in the design. The extra weight is a nice benifit too. |

spent the night before a scale comp at "rock Island" putting the pro44 housing together with some help from Captain Morgan. I used the stock kit internals and some SSD pro knuckels and Cs. They went together beautifully even with the heavy influence from my helper. A quick test drive followed by a yup they work and off to bed i went. I drove it like a rental at the comp and finished in the I have to much fun to care place. SSD once again has come up with another product that looks great, fits as it should and is affordable. SSD how about some shorter axle tubes? I am thinking class 1 legal clod build!" |

I received my diamond rear and 44 front with black optional diff cover last evening. These are stunning like all my SSD bits. I cannot wait to get these under my class 1 Toyota build. P.s...... I would love to see a narrow tube option as well..... |

| Re: New SSD Pro44 Axles There are a bunch of people & companies in the aftermarket rushing to get new tubes to market for these housings. Soon that garbage V1 scx axle may finally go the way of the dodo bird. And there are some kinda ghetto extensions out there too. I know you've seen them but I bet most here haven't. |

Is a tested and designed 3d printed part really worthy of the term "ghetto" now ? That word to me would imply delrin, a dremel, and a hacksaw if anything.
