| 4 link rear end- side to side slop
Recently I was running my 10.2 and noticed a lot of slop in the rear diff housing. It had to be something with the links. I got to looking and noticed it was the two upper links. A fella I was crawling with recommended I take a zip tie and tie it around the two rod ends on the diff housing side, I proceeded to do so and it’s solid as a rock. Does not put anything in a bind and works like a charm! Its a simple fix to carry out while crawling and while there is limited access to parts/tools. Hopefully new rod ends that aren’t so sloppy will be the more proper fix. Last edited by jksquires43; 11-06-2017 at 06:12 PM. Reason: Grammar/ more info |

So was the slop due to wear in the rod end/pivotball? I have noticed the stock plastic pivot balls wear quickly and cause slop, I replaced all the steering link balls with samix stainless steel ones and now have no slop in the steering.
