Default LC70 Questions

I have wanted to get the LC70 body for a while now but does it fit on the SCX10 II chassis without modification.

I know the rear suspension will need altering but is that all?

Thanks

There is a mounting kit for the SCX10 ii & the LC70. It is flimsy & sets the body way up high. To get the body down, so the floor of the bed sits on the chassis rails (or close enough) you either:
A: Figure a way to lose the rear shock towers (the front works just fine & the flimsiness of the body mount is minimized) & mount the shocks to the bed.
B: Get a cantilever kit.
C: Cut a hole in the bed to clear the rear shocks & shock towers.

Thanks txbart
I have seen the cantilever kit and it looks good so that's the way I would go.
I have read somewhere that the LC70 Body wont fit the stock scx10 II chassis without modifying the motor.

Does anyone know anything about this please.

Thanks

Depending on which version you have, kit or RTR the motor & transmission sits right in the middle of the cab/bed area to varying degrees. So you might have to do some cutting of the bed to accommodate the transmission. Give me a few hours & I can give you a more positive answer by comparing my Scx10 ii & LC70.

Here are some pics,

My SCX10ii is a kit with the old style trans setup, like in the RTR. With the front wheel in the front wheel well & the body resting on the side plates, everything stays well within the cab. I don’t believe there would be much need to alter the body if you were to do alterations to the chassis.

Good luck!

Thanks txbart the pictures are great.
I have read that there is a way to reverse the transmission
that means the chassis stays the same but I have searched
YouTube and I can't find anyone who has posted how to do it.

Thank you.

Bowhouse makes a mount that lets you flip the motor/trans around... GCM racing has a video of one on a scx10, you can get the part from shapeways

That's very good crisdog80.
I don't mind buying parts to fit to the truck but I'm not very good at making stuff from scratch.
