Look at the servo arm. Does it bend when turning (failing to turn) the wheels? You'll see it if it does. You can get a clamping aluminium horn for a couple of euros (ebay, aliexpress) if you wanna save 10 euros. Keep in mind that different servos have different splines (number of teeth) so if you buy one for the servo you have now it may not fit the servo you upgrade to. |

Yes, as others said you need a stronger servo and an aluminum servo horn of proper spline count will be required with the servo upgrade. Plastics steering and suspension links flex too and will need replaced before long. ![]() |

| ![]() Well i still haven't tried the truck outside the house because of lack of free time and bad weather conditions so i think i'll give the stock servo at least one chance. I'm pretty sure that the Tactic TSX45 has 25 teeth.

By the way do Digital servos require a bec of their own?

IIRC Tactic servos are 25 spline, just searched and yes 25. Doesn't matter digital or analog servo, it draws enough amps and/or likes higher voltage, then get a good bec. Ensure servo horn is at or very near center point when tires are pointed straight ahead and servo trim is set at 0. If not recenter the servo and then reattach the horn accordingly.

Savoxes are notoriously power hungry... in any case - you'll find out as soon as you try it out ![]() |

I'm having the same problem with my Ascender. Its driving me INSANE that i can't figure out why it doesn't turn all the way to the left like it should. So it turned both ways great when i first purchased it. After i replaced the stock servo with my old Hitech high torque servo & Castle BEC it lasted about 2 years & then it started having the steering issue. So i bought the water proof blue Savox 0231mg servo, thinking that the Hitech was kicking the bucket. No fix. Even unplugging the BEC and trying it doesnt work. When the truck is off, the servo turns full potential both ways but when its on, its very restricted both ways especially turning left. I'm thinking it has to do with the radio or receiver, that's my next attempt. |

You bought another servo before checking D/R and EPAs? That's just lovely.

No. He said when the truck is off. Not off the ground. Which means he was turning the wheels by hand. Also, it was a Hitec, not the stock Tactic. Doy.
