Default having a brain fart, help putting together kit

hi. i have the scx10-2 cherokee builders kit, im about 80% done the kit and im ready to install the front axle, but the third link is confusing me as to how it goes to clear the drive shaft, and where it goes too. can someone show me a pic of their assembled truck so i can figure it out? its probably painfully obvious, but ive been working on the truck since 5 am and think its time for a break but i thought id seek out help anyway while i take a break. i have a feeling its one of those situations where i am looking way to hard to figure it out and if i walk away for a bit ill figure it out when i return to the project lol.

first and 3rd pic nailed it. thanks guys!

Okay now I'm getting mad. This hasn't been a smooth sailing kit for me. I took the electronics out of my r1 for this kit which is a sidewinder3 and flysky receiver and hi-tech servo. I went to mock up the electronics so I can center my steering servo and put on the steering horn and my receiver flashes and nothing responds and the receiver gets piping hot within seconds. So I though maybe I had the esc plugged in backwards but it still gets hot. If I plug the sidewinder in one way it flashes red and if I put it the other way it flashes green but still doesn't respond. It seems like my receiver is pooched but I drove this r1 yesterday with these electronicz and it worked fine. Help?
