Default My first build

This is my first build. Thought I would share some bench pics. It was a lot easier than I thought. Thanks to all of you posting a lot of great info! I do have a few other cars that I wrench on so I have a bit of experience. I kept the kit simple with the following in late sept

Hobbywing 1080
Tekin 35T
Savox 0231
Axial inner fenders
AXA1331 steel ball ends all the way around
Tactic transmitter combo
3S

It was supposed to stop, then came December

2 Axial simple light controller
Amber lights
RC4WD Winch and wired controller
ONETOOMANYRCS Light bar (velcroed his controller to mine)

Then last week a birthday present early to myself

Pitbull Rock Beast Xl
Proline Denali Beadlocks

Dont laugh about under the hood, first time. I could have done better with the inner fenders. My wiring could be shortened, left it as my first build I wanted to make sure its good before final button up ( who knows how long that is as I have been driving this rig since late Oct)

The paint did look sick in my eyes for being my first attempt when finished, but since then I drive the piss out if it now. So no shelf queen here!!

Cheers, Chief

Good job on the build. Your rig looks great, and the Rock Beasts really set off the look.

Thx, yeah the stock tires were decent, but lack of grip due (slicks in the dirt) and lack off aggressiveness made me go to the store. I was up in the air about which tire, it was between the PROLINE Tsl Xl or Hyrax or these and these were the only ones in stock and I wasn't going home empty handed. Only driven on them less than a pack but is is night and day I am pleased so far.😊 And they look pretty cherry!

Oh yeah I also put in a axial alum horn when first built, with the included wire retainer parts as shims on both ends of the servo.

Well the leads pulled off my axial simple light controller. From the last pic you can see why with it getting yarded around in the balloon taking the body on and off and working on it. So after a solder job I salvaged the light controller. I grabbed a Traxxas 3628 reciever box and mounted on righthand side a voila the lights work again.

I'm thinking of getting the 8274 for it instead and using this one for something else.

Put some SSD Pro 44's in on my holidays this week. Haven't taken it out yet, but I'm sure I be pleased with the added weight. Plus they look great.
