As of now. About 25 hours. I don't work on it every day. Maybe a couple times a month. Depends on money and time. It's been a very long process..

Just stumbled across this. Cool build!!! Hopefully you get some time to finish it! Long slow builds...nothing wrong with that!!!

Thanks. Ya. I can't get anywhere with it cause im constantly trying to make it more 1:1 scale.. I really want a custom chassis that resembles a actual f350 frame... There's so much I want to do with it.

So now I’m looking at changing the frame. Want to get a 1:1 real looking frame made for the truck... that would help solve some issues. Body mounting, scale trans/motor setup. I have overly high ambitions for this rig.

First attempt at building inner tubs for the bed. Rough mock up. About 16mm tall inside a 45mm tall bed. Still got to build sides.if I like it after these I'll build them out of .080 styrene.

What if you lengthened the chassis behind the skid plate instead of off the end. Would that help?
And I'll get some pics of the 1:1 if you need it, since i daily a F350.

Been a while since I posted about the truck. Had some things to take care of on my daily driver (Mazdaspeed 3) haven't done much with the body, but started building a hitch receiver. Made out of plastruct st-12 3/8 square tube and styrene for the side mounts, will make them thicker. Not sure if it will be strong enough to hook and trailer to it. But it will for sure look the part. Fairly rough mock up. The metal tube is to keep the side mounts square.
Will be painted a semi gloss black. Hitch is a gearhead stardard drop piece. might end up with the extra long drop hitch.

A few more mock up pics. I let the bondyne dry overnight and set the hitch in place. Still got to work on thickening the side plates [/IMG]

It's not so much patience as it is being busy with 3 boys and a wife and work and my car(modding) and kinda forgetting about it. And the funds are not really there. I really just want to finish it so I can start my Hilux build.

I understand the wife n kids part lol, we got 3 boys n 4 girls... The extra fundage slows down the build process here lol

Wow. Didn't realize how long it's been since I posted about the rig. Decided to work on the hitch, and finish it up. Just got to paint it and get some m4 screws to finish install.... Receiver is a rc rock armor standard drop.. also have been working on the bed tubs and still debating on weather or not to make the tailgate functional
