I was thinking of a build like this, and I want to do a gooseneck trailer. I would put the tire carrier on the trailer, but you would have to work out the tailgate.

I just got the same wheels, but with red rings. I'm running 4.75's, but you can always stretch a smaller 1.7 tire on them.

Another good option would be 1.7 8 lug wheels since it's a super duty.

Working on some more links. Made 2 upper links, converting to 4 link. Made a servo to knuckle link. Using ssd rod ends 00020(m3 short),00023(m3 bent) some brass tubing that i sleeved and 6-32 all thread. Upper links ended up being about 1mm shorter. Sleeving the tubing makes it pretty solid. But it should be fine. Debating on removing panhard bar. I know it's not needed but it also doesn't bind the axle either. If i leave it, ill make a link also. Cost me $2 6-32 3ft all thread $1.49 8129 brass tube 1ft x2 $1.59 8130 brass tube 1ft x2 $3.50 Ssd 00020 short rod ends $3.50 Ssd 00023 bent rod ends Total $15ish for 2 upper links and both steering links. hit? Knuckle to knuckle link. Still has quite a bit of steering angle. Even though i won't need that much. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk |

Set it on its tires. Im debating on smaller tires, maybe a 4.5ish. And maybe raise the front a bit. Maybe 100mm shocks on front?? And possibly trimming rear fenders if i kept the 4.7 tall tires..body will sit right about even with the sliders. So maybe smaller tire might be in order RC4WD Fuel Offroad Mud Gripper 1.9 Tires 4.33 tall RC4WD Mickey Thompson 1.9 Baja Claw 4.19" Scale Tires Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk Last edited by wcdfmt510; 05-04-2018 at 12:28 PM. |

Use brake Line to make the spare tire carrier since it is protected in the bed it will be lighter than solid rod.

Its been a while since I posted on this. Kinda put it on the back burner for a bit due to getting a bomber. Will get back on it after i sell my yeti.. I did do a little work on the bed to strengthen the sides and floorbof the bed. Will have to purchase a 2nd tailgate and 2 arb style rear bumpers since i made the bed square and not the factory taper. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk |

Looking really good my man. I would go with the SSD champions (Blue) and some 1.7 MTR's. These tires are wicked good... 1.9 wheels would be the better option IMO...

I have been thinking about your tire application and IDK if the 1.7 MTR would be right under the 350. Its actually a decent sized 4.19 tire. The 350 has pretty small fender openings. I'm thinking a 3.85 ATR/Rocker/ Berserker will look best. Oh I just thought of another option. The ProLine 1.9 TSL SX.

The 1.7 fits on a 1.9 wheel like a glove. You can do the same with 1.5's to 1.7's etc. I might have a 350 cab on the shelf in the shop. I will check tonight. If I still do I can mock up some different size tires under the cab so you can see the different tire sizes in the wheel well. I should be getting an order in today from RPP. I will be swapping around some of my current wheels and tires. Come on RPP..... I need my CI foams and new 1.5 Pitbulls! | |
