Really debating on a smaller tire and/or some leaf spring blocks and longer shocks up front

My shop foreman welded up these steel extensions to a factory steel scx10ii chassis. Tore down the aftermarket aluminum chassis to swap everything over. Just need to drill a few holes and modify the chassis for the leaf spring hanger. After all done mock up then paint. The extensions are about 1-2mm narrowed. To help with shackles

Few pics I took tonight with the new chassis, remointed the bed to fit the cab with a better gap between cab and bed. modified the rear wheel opening in the front a bit.. still no idea how I'm gonna mount the back of the cab to the chassis. The front will be stock body post with velco or magnets

Took some extra wildboar driveshaft parts from my bomber kit and made a rear shaft. Not pretty, nor is it permanent.

Ya I'm looking at some 3.8-4.1 inch tall 1.9 tires...there's not much in 1.7 sizing

Made rear bumper bracket. And trying out this 1/4 brass tubing and m3 nylon lock nut I hammered inside. Pretty damn tight fit.

Now you’ve done it.... I have a loops model body coming!

Anyways sorry if you’ve mentioned this already, but how long of a wheel base does this have?

I wanted a loops f350 body. But I wanted to try scratch building one and see how I like it. Very first time scratch building, I was ok with how it came out.. it's not perfect. So I'll probably end up buying a loops body eventually.. as for the wheel base, i think it's 14.5 if I remember right. I'll check in it on a bit

I ended up ordering the narrow arb style front bumper and 2 rear bumpers for the f350 from loops. Should be here in a couple weeks

Ok with the double cab body, mine should be 360mm, or a hair over 14.1 inches

That's what's it says on the loops website right.? I made mine so it has a slight gap between the cab and bed like a 1:1 truck.and I mounted the bed to the chassis separate from the cab

Yea that’s what is posted on their website so hopefully it’s right. I’m probably going to do something similar, and hopefully have the cab portion easy to take off for battery changes.

Ya same here. But I've been debating on making a bed tool box that houses the battery

That would be a good idea. I’m still debating on going to speed or using a wraith trans that I have laying around for 2wd/4wd.
