Summer has been busy to say the least. I still havnt taken the time to tear down the transmission to take pics and do a write up, probably be a good winter project

The next comp is right around the corner and the overdrive mod is holding up great. To each his own and I put enough specs here that someone could remake the shaft and do this mod themselves. any questions just ask.

Ill be running class 1 for the first time at the next comp. ill be running 1 rig for all three classes with only a body and tire swap and yes I run 1.9 with 4.75 hyrax in class 3.

I’m not even an axial guy but I love what you’ve done here. Great idea with the shaft, but equally I like the motor flip with spacers making a forward motor set up. Very nice work indeed. GCM guys beware lol.

Maybe a stupid question but is not having a dustcover over the spur and slipper clutch cause any problems? Newbie here
I ask it because the stock kit comes with a cover and I dont like the fact that with the cover on I cannot change the slipper adgustment.

with my motor forward mod i cant even use the cover. I took it and the mounting plate it connects to off the trans and it doesn't cause any issues at all, only leaves potential for maybe mud or a little rock to get in between the pinion and spur. but that's never personally happened to me.

your slipper adjustment should be one of those things where you set it and forget it

Thanks. I suppose mude can enter through the dust cover too but a little rock not. I might also remove that cover then.
I set the slipper clutch tight and 1.5 turns back but I am still building so cant test it yet
