One less link up front?

Hey everyone.

I own 3 original SCX10s and picked up a used SCX10ii over the weekend. I noticed last night that it only has 3 suspension links (2 lower and 1 upper) in the front while the back has 4.

Is this how it's supposed to be? It seems to work fine as is.

it's called 3 link with panhard bar.
