I unfortunately cracked the body after a few harsh landings so it is currently waiting for a new body to be painted.

As it sits now...

That's quite a lot of weight down low, hows that servo coping?

Wow this is an amazing build. Congratulations sir you have one heck of a cool ride! Have you done any comps with it? Curious what class and how many scale points you get for something like this

Thanks mate, I'm not into comps so I'm not sure about the points. My rides are purely for my tinkering time and enjoyment.

Bit of an update with a colour change.
The paint is Rustoleum 2X Poppy Red Satin.

I think it came up pretty well. Now to get it all scratched up again :)

Awesome pics Mark! Your Hilux is still one of my favorite builds. Bummer on cracking the tan body but from the pics it looks like you got plenty of use out of it. I like the red, did you make the tailgate work on the new body or just leave it with the bedsides?

Re: My Hilux Truggy

Thanks mate. I haven't figured out the tailgate yet but I'll get it on there in some form so it's just the sides at the moment.

I love this build. I love the fact that it still resembles a truck, vs a cab with a tube back half. Don't get me wrong I love a good tube back half, but this is awesome!

How do you get the skid plate and the Bowhouse RC tranny flip bracket into the frame rails after the frame and cage work are all welded together?

It's a tight fit but there is just enough flex in the chassis rails and skid plate to squeeze it in. Just don't get your fingers caught :shock::shock:

Little update. I have switched over to a set of Proline Flat Irons to see how they go. I think they look much better than the Hyrax but time will tell on the performance.

Another little update on this one. Another color change to a semi-weathered pale blue so it doesn't look like a TF2 Marlin anymore :lmao:

I've also added a set of Proline Forge beadlocks which I have loved since they were first released.

I think it is just about done!
