Default Raw Builders Kit Missing Diff Bearing

Started putting together the axles on my RBK. Looks like I am missing a bearing for inside the pumpkin, part 31406. Should have 4, only got 3. Anyone else run into this? Anyone else missing any of the pieces?

I was missing a few plastic parts, axial made good on them. As for bearings, why not buy good bearings for the axles while its apart?

Are the bearings in the Axial kit crappy? I have used Fast Eddy’s bearings in some builds but my LHS doesn’t carry them to my knowledge. Any other bearing kits in mind?

I will give Axial a dingle and try to hit my hobby store tomorrow. Was just curious if this is a recurring error.

The quality control of missing parts is nothing new with Axial, but they do make good on them. They even set me a free pair of black diff covers rather than the crappy red ones in the kit while I waited for the missing battery box parts

Didn't have a missing bearing but did have a few missing screws. I guess I got lucky.

Black diff covers would be nice, I actually painted mine silver(but obviously that paint won’t last long). I will get in touch with them about the bearing and perhaps I might be nice enough to get those black covers

Picked up a set of Fast Eddy bearings at my LHS so I could continue my build. Out of curiosity I compared the bearings to those in the kit. It appears the markings on a couple of the sizes are identical. I don't know where Fast Eddy sources bearings from, but it would appear at least some of them come from the same place that Axial sources from.

Also discovered more missing pieces in my kit last night. I was shorted on the threaded rods that hold the link and link ends together. Seems ironic that the bags are marked with quality control stickers, but are consistently missing parts.

You’re right about the fast eddy bearings, they are junk like the stockers.

Yup. Anyone that thinks fast Eddie kits are quality at a good price and not the cheapest available rubber sealed bearings has a rude awakening ahead of them.

they are sending me the parts. Horizon has always treated me right. unfortunately being in Canada it takes awhile for them to get here. Have a good hobby store locally helps, but can sharply increase the cost of a build when repeated trips are required

I cant say I have had any issues with the stock bearings in my kits. Sure they eventually need replacing, but I typically like to regrease my Trans and diffs after a period of time. Replacing the bearings is but a part of the process of rebuilding them.

Clearly I should not have been surprised to see the same Chinese markings on the FE bearings. So who do you source your aftermarket bearings from?
