Internet problems ......This build is making use of extra traxxas parts I have on hand.....I will be moving the motor forward with a different transmission and transfer-case provided by a local friend https://www.dinkyrc.com This is a fun build....love doing stuff like this, from slot cars and routed tracks, to wood kayaks and so on.....

Any ideas on capping of the ends of a cut down bumper? Be nice to fill it with plastic....

I've done this before myself.

Took a Dremel to the remaining scrap parts tree and made a huge mess for 15 minutes. Took all the shavings and mixed it up with two part epoxy. Once sanded and smoothed over, was hardly noticable.

Put the epoxy in the corner of a plastic bag and cut the tip off to make a nice clean fillet.

In kayak building belt sander wood dust makes good thickener.......... Also, graphite powder mixed with epoxy is black, add it to the bottom of a kayak, then when dry scuff it with a scotch bright pad and the hull of the kayak slides over rock, rather than grabbing and gouging the wood......
