Default Scx10ll hard body XJ

Well I got the itch for a hard body and always seen the XJ and finally got one locally from a crawler buddy of mine new in box. I ended up buying a JS shock cantilever kit also and it is awesome. I decided to go with a flat tan and black. Built up already but still need to paint the window seals and install windows. Then I will try my hand to weather the body a bit. Here is a few pics. Also I haven’t mounted the body to the frame yet. I need to find a way . If any of you have any Ideas PLEASE chime in and help me .

those wheels look good with those colors. As for mounting. I used 2 screws through the bottom of the front bumper into the grill area. That held up fine to a few good tumbles. On the rear I made a self latching mount that hooked on to the bumper posts.

It’s actually very easy and it’s awesome you can use your own shocks it has many adjustment points for the application you use them on. Also has awesome articulation.

Well been hectic few months sold my house and bought another. Been slowly setting up stuff and finally made it out to the garage where I found a little time to unwind and work on my rig a bit. I finally installed the fender wells and snorkel. Waiting on getting some bumpers or hopefully getting a connection installed for my welder so I can start fabricating my own stuff again. Here is how it stands now after long time sitting.

Well after months of being on hold due to moving into my new home I finally got some time to work on my rig. I installed a new rear metal bumper and finally go around to getting my body installed. Need to get my interior installed and get this thing on the trail.

For the front part I made a brace from some aluminum and put some double sided Velcro and for the rear I used the same 3D printed piece that Toka100 posted on the picture up higher on my tread. I can post some pics tomorrow. But it fits nice and very secure withou any body pins. Now I need to install the interior and weather the body a bit.

What is the height of those tires? Thinking of running this body and only concerned that the tires I have are going to be too big

Well just got my new front bumper in today it’s a nice looking bumper. Now I need to get a roof rack and winch and sliders to get the accessories part done.
