Nice to see a new kit when others are getting killed off. Not licensed, looks like, but solid parts. I’d buy it!

Maybe another 3 years for the 46 chassis.

So which year(s) is Axial's Chunimog replicating?

I like it, and am excited to see Axial finally release an SCX10 II kit with a “Dingo” wheelbase(would’ve been nearly equally excited if it was RTR). This kit has some good points!

Looks like you'd be better off buying the UMG10 kit, then selling off the leftovers as a "raw builders kit" https://www.rpphobby.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=umg10

I'm wondering what the most economical way to put this thing on portals would be? Buy 2 kits (trx4 sport + UMG10) and sell off the leftovers? AR44 portal conversion outers? Just buy some TRX4 takeoff axles? Hmm. Wheels are turning. This thing NEEDS portals and big ag tires!

That's effing crazy pricing for that body! $50 for the cab alone. RC Lexan bodies have suddenly become cash cows for RC companies.

Wow that is crazy. I guess I’ll just buy the kit. Sell off what I don’t need.

Yep, looks like ~$160 for all the bits & bobs to complete the body. There's a brand new Redcat Gen8 sitting in my garage (it's the neighbor kids, he wants to build a leaf sprung replica of his dad's 1:1) that was purchased for the same reasons (most cost effective way to get the full Scout II body set.) Maybe the UMG10 kit will get joined with the Gen8?! Now that I think about it, the Redcat portal axle set is only $100, but it's still hard to argue with the aftermarket option parts for trx4 axles. Hmm. I haven't bought myself a new rc in over a year, and my wife said "oh that's cuuuute! I like that!" I'm not sold yet, but again, the wheels are turning.

Just bought mine. I love it. And I own just about every set of 1.9 tire that there is. Did I mention that I built a 1.9 mpg on a cfx-w chassis that will never be in commission because the axles are a poor design?

I’m thinking that some of that build will get into this build. Swiss’s, my proline tribute 1985 TOYOTA SRT-5 hood will be done once I switch over the wheels. I need something else to drain my wallet!

I wish Axial could have had these off center front scale axle. Just like the real Unimog

Well if a "mog" was a American thing it would always have been big as a house, but its a EURO thing so it don't have to be huge.

I have always been a fan of those, and i do at times see one on the road, and i involuntary go moq moq moq every time.

If you don't hate American things your comments sure suggest that you do.

Huh? I don’t think it’s suggestive. We have a well-deserved reputation for liking (and doing) everything bigger.

Have you seen his other comments?

We do make big things, but it doesn't mean they're junk or incapable.
