| Scx10 ii Monster Truck....
So I've decided to use my Raw Kit and go the MT route. Who else has done this? I've found Jconcepts Bigfoot build to us as a guild line... Its staying brushed, Holmes 27t 550 Sport can, HW1080 ecs on 3s, servo undetermined at this time. Jconcept 2.2 Midwest wheels with Ranger tires. Question now is suspension. Use RC4WD leaf springs like the J Concepts build, or keep the 4 link using ST Racing lift kit, or just taller shocks? Any suggestions? |

Well if you look at any of the 1:1, you don’t see a leaf anywhere. Always a 4link and sway bars, big long shocks and donuts on all four corners. Drive it like you stole it! Hang up and Drive | |

Yea the "new generation" of MTs are 4 link, tube chassis, mid engines, low CG, ect, the old school trucks were rearched leafs, front engine and tons of reinforcements to a stock type chassis up on Rockwell 90 degree axles. I guess biggest question is how much articulation will I loose with leafs? |

Use the ST Racing lift kit for sure, taller shocks, stiffer than usual. You don't want much travel. 4 link with sway bars. I am doing something similar right now.

You'll lose alot with leafs. Mine is a 4 link setup but i went with as much of a ol school look as i could otherwise. I went with the axial scx10 frame rails, ax10 chassis plates for the lift, scx10 skid n trans, wraith ar60 axles. My build thread is in the miscellanious section under monster trucks. Wheely King Tires for another look if it helps you. I'm really glad to see the scale monster truck seen getting bigger. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk |

I’ve always wanted a clod, but i think this look is even cooler. How do you accomplish steering? Do you still get to use a chassis mounted servo? Could you use a bicycle shift cable and housing or scale hydraulic setup?

My Clod is far from stock, all that is left stock are the diffs, gear housing, wheels/tires. The rest is aluminum From CPE. It's just front steering with on axle mounted servo. I'm running 5700kv Sidewinders on 2s and I found it unstable in a corner giving it throttle with AWS. https://m.facebook.com/pete.merrow/p...tachments_list.[281586684625%252C281586694625%252C281586704625%252 C281586719625%252C281586724625]%253Aphoto_id.281586684625%253Astory_location.50%2 53Astory_attachment_style.album%253Acta_types.1%26 __tn__%3DEH-R%26cached_data%3Dfalse%26ftid%3D&mdp=1&mdf=1 |

Mine started out stock with an EVX2 Titan 21t on 4s lipo. Way to fast for the stock steering and stock chassis.

I remember another fella here built a SUPER accurate Bigfoot... 4? 7? Here on a TF2 chassis. Bob Chandler himself was pretty impressed iirc... Leafs would be neato if going for the old school look, and youre already halfway there with a ladder frame! |
