Default Links suggestion?

I'm pretty much a newbie when it comes to crawlers. I've got a Deadbolt with the 12" (305mm wheelbase) and I would like to extend it to 12.3" (313mm), but I'm not sure what brand links to get. I've tried using search, but wasn't much of a help. I've seen cheap ones on Amazon, Axial, Vanquish, SSD and others but I don't really know which ones are good quality. I'd hate to buy some cheap ones and have to replace them further down the line. Like to buy once, cry once or however the saying goes. Thanks in advance.

There isn't much variation in quality if you know which type of metal is used and it's not cheap Chinese crap

Grab links from SSD or Vanquish or even Supershafty (JEC Racing) and you can't go wrong.

Just remember to use good rod ends too. The plastic from RPM rod ends is one of the best.
If you get beefy links and cheap rod ends it's no good.

The SSD links and rod ends are good value. Spare rod ends are cheap too so maybe grab a pack for the trail kit.

Get a 8mm or 12mm brass bar and do them yourself with the traxxas rod ends 5347. Weight low, imporving your truck stability

I might look into that. I did build links for my Juggernaut 2 years ago. Just need to remember how I did it.

You pretty much summed it up right there. Watch out for the cheap ones and the stuff from China IMO. Like JB said, be sure to use something that uses a quality end (I use Traxxas Revo whenever possible). I think you'd be ok with anything from Axial, Vanquish, SSD, Hardcore-rc and the like.

The saying I know is "buy cheap, buy twice"
