Interested to see what you think of the RC4WD portals after you get a chance to run it.

| Re: UMG10: I say it's a Unimog Trucking along with the Axial SCX10-II UMG10 build! This week we build shocks, suspension links, install the axles and assemble the Vanquish wheels and MT45 tires! We also install our T-360 Servo, BXR Element Proof ESC, solder it all up and finish off with a Spektrum SR315 and DX5C radio! It’s a functional runner now, all that is left is to put the custom touch on the body and take it out for a drive! The links and shocks both went together smooth as silk. I went with the standard 30wt kit shock oil for two reasons; it’s winter out and lighter shock oil will be needed and this rig is not going to weigh much and the electronics package is very light. The BXR barely weighs more than the receiver and the batties I’ll be running are only 2100mAh and pretty light as well. Wheels and tires are a great combo on this rig. The Incision MR307 Methods by Vanquish include #4 hubs and are extremely easy to assemble. The MT45 tires bead very nicely on the VP wheels and mounting them up only took a few minutes per tire. Looking forward to seeing how they perform out on the trails! The whole chassis came together this week. The axles are linked up, shocks are on and the wheels and tires are assembled and mounted up as well, so we’ve got a roller! Almost all of the electronics are installed; at least the important ones. The T-360 servo is in, T30 Pro motor is in and the BXR is tucked into the receiver box. Auxiliary Channel Drag Brake is connected and setup on the radio and the ESC is calibrated and ready to rock! | Re: UMG10: I say it's a Unimog Glad to hear it! Thanks for watching! I'm looking forward to it for sure. Normally I'm not a portals on all things guy but I think this truck has to have them. Hopefully I'll get it wrapped up and get some running video over Christmas break! |

really looking forward to seeing the rest of this build. id consider the 3d printed inner fenders that are available for the UMG10, as they have the rock light mounts built into them and look super clean. (I just love inner fenders and wished I known about the custom UMG10 ones before I made my own) |

I promise I'm still working on this rig! The last few weeks have been crazy hectic after the holidays, but I'm back on it. The UMG made a trip to the body shop in December and today it has returned with a painted and wrapped cab! SOR did a killer job on the wrap design, I love it and I'll show it off more once the tube work is done and this truck is finished. Off to the fab shop to finish it up! |

Getting closer to running this thing! Yesterday I printed some inner fenders thanks to Heckmic for the original design and Kanook for modifying them to work on the UMG. They came out pretty good and give the cab a more finished look for sure! Cleaning them up a bit and printing another set at a slower speed. More to come as I wrap up the lighting and interior on this build. |

| Re: UMG10: I say it's a Unimog Sorry for the loooooooong break in this build but it was worth it and it turned out great! Finally got it finished up and took it down to Riggins to trail on the banks of the River of No Return just before Idaho was ordered to stay at home due to COVID-19. Truck drives really nice, I plan on making a few small changes like heavier shock oil and a few other things to improve the handling. It's also going to get swapped to brushless and will be my Axialfest '20 rig if all goes well before then! I swapped the wheels for KMC Panzers when Vanquish released them, really like the style and the 12-bolt hub looks a lot better than 6 even though 6 is correct for this generation. |

Did you make any gearing changes to compensate for the gearing of the portals, or just a bolt-on & go affair?

What a sweet Mog!!! I prefer the original wheels you used, but that's just my opinion... An excellent build all around! Cheers, Doc |
