Default Scx10.2 Front axle U joint

I've noticed the stock dogbones seem to bind slightly when turning in one direction. I'm also in search of more steering angle like most people are. I want to switch to u joint axles on the front. I know axial makes a set, so does vanquish and ssd. I'm sure there are more to add. I'm just curious as to which one's are the most reputable for durability. Even the vanquish ones are only about 10 dollars more than the boom racing ones, so price seems to be almost irrelevant. I appreciate any input and owner experience

Do you have universals or dog bone? I would stick with stock until theyre broke. You can do a little clearance work to get more out of them as well.

Okay, dogbones are very strong but as you have found are limited and bind (or chatter easily). I would suggest upgrading to a set of Axial or SSD universals. Those alone will give you the steering you are looking for and still very strong.

Welcome to the site! I moved this to the SCX10 II section.

With universals you should be able to get around 45 degrees of steering. Axial's universals are fine. I've never had a problem with them, but I don't throw stupid power into my scalers. I didn't even realize some SCX10 II's came with dog bones.
