SSD scale transmission
 
Had a search and can’t find anything definitive. I’m looking to do a scale build using the ssd scale transmission but can’t find the servo mount. Is this included in the kit or are separate parts required??

AFAIK, the SSD Tranny is single speed. The 2 speed I think is an adaptor for the stock SCX II Tranny.

I have 2 SSD Trailkings with the scale tranny (plastic housing) and they are single speeds.

He's probably looking for the CMS mount.

I do have one of these transmissions but I can't remember if it came with the servo mount. I'm inclined to say that the mounts are separate, though.

EDIT: Can confirm, servo mount is sold separately

Awesome, thanks for clarifying. Is this made by SSD? I can’t find anything and my local hobby shop don’t seem to know either...

The mounts to install the transmission are included in the SSD00403 Trail King Scale Transmission and Mount Kit. But I don't think SSD sells the servo mount separately. I think the only way you can get the servo mount is in the Trail King Chassis Kit itself.

It looks like I may be a bit late, but the "correct" servo mount is for the SCX10.1 and SSD D60 axles HERE

I know the Trail King transmission is very similar (if not identical to) the scale transmission, so I would imagine the TK servo mounts should work fine regardless.

Sorry for any confusion. I just realized the OP may have been talking about the Scale Transmission Kit (SSD00123) - the one machined out of aluminum - and not the Trail King Scale Transmission Kit (SSD00403) - which is plastic.

At any rate, both servo mounts appear locate the servo in a similar spot on the chassis rails, but the Trail King servo mount is plastic, and does not incorporate the panhard mount.
