Which Comanche did you order? I've only seen the hard bodies from Injora and Club 5. Heck they could be the same body. I know there are a few inconsistencies with the Injora version (behind cab area, random vent things, missing fuel door) but it's still a good looking body for a crawler IMO. Seems like most of the people that fuss about them cut them up anyways.

I got the Club 5 body. Figured it would need modified anyways since its not from an RTR kit. Always wanted a Jeep Comanche.

That's the best looking one I've seen, and the only hard body I've ever considered if I was going that route. Kind of tired of looking at Toyotas haha. Looking forward to it.

Soon as I update my photo server....uploader runs on flash ..... I'll post some photos

Put the body together, very nice kit. Still coming up with a color. Slight body lift clears the 120mm tires fully tucked. No body trimming required. Ill make some fender liners this week. Lighting kit is nice too. Hot glue is such a great tool

finally got my image hosting updated . So my hW1060 blewout while doing some motor timing in my B3 Buggy. So the HW1080 and Titain 21t wen into that. I took a chance on a cheap Innovateking 3650 5200KV Sensorless Brushless Motor with 120A ESC. 50k rpm... So far so good. differently rips with the 13t pinion. Will need do some tuning to be more...gracefull.

I have added shims to the front and rear axle output flanges to take up some movement.

I feel my pinions are binding. May need a shim on those too. pinion keeps pulling into the locked diff it seems...

Still haven't decided on paint. I kinda want an iron basecoat, primer, then paint. this way is rusts over time. Rollovers, dog bites... Loving the brushless. The ESC is Meh.

If it was mine I would do said bronze/brown undercoat for rust, followed by primer/gray, followed by that mint-ish forestry truck color and maybe even try to hunt down some forestry decals (or if you are really good, not sure what your skill level is with paint) shoot the whole thing in a 1/4 shade darker green, tape off the shape of some door logos/numbers, hit with a lighter shade of the same green, pull the tape...boom! looks like a retired forestry truck turned trail rig with the old markings removed.

You don't have to do all of that, but I am planning on something similar for a future scale build. Just something about those old brush fire trucks that do something for me and a Comanche is the perfect body for it (since nobody makes a nice 12.3 K10 hard body)

Do you have clearence in the wheelwells/fenders with 120 mm tires on that body?
Or does it need some trimming or mounting the body higher...?
Rig is looking good

Sprocket, I have had todo no trimming of the body or Cherokee inner fender liners. the 120mm tires clear no issue.

Swapped in a Hobbywing Brushless SC8. Much much better.
Upgraded from the 20kg to a 35kg servo. Just found a broken front CV join pin....

Got anther set of wheels with the Axial BFG Krawlers. Broke out the oil markers too...

Watching this build! I purchased the Injora version of this body and it looks pretty much the same. I have a 3D printer and printed an extension to the cab, which I have to take out of the bed to keep the wheelbase the same.
