Thank you Honeyman. Kids definitely have a way of teaching ya a thing or two about time management. Here are some more progress updates. Found a spare light string that I had no idea I even had in my night stand so now we can see at night. ;) And got the hardware needed to give the wheels some proper lug nuts. |

I normally don’t like yellow but that caterpillar yellow looks great. I also have the same body on scx10.2 chassis with similarly cut flares. How far “up” does the lip of those inner fenders sit in the chopped wheel wells? I.e. I’m worried that I would see the lip of the inner fenders... I hope that makes sense? Oh that makes perfect sense, they do not extend way up as far in the fenders as I think they probably should, ya know, for those out there who wanna cut the fenders to fit more rubber. I have included some pictures to illustrate one problem I had to overcome with respect to this. The driver's side (left side) inner fender did in fact hang below the outer fender after cutting, so I cheated a bit & wedged and glued a door handle from the gun rack parts tree between the fender and the floorboard/body-mount/electronics tray. |

Thank you jsix321. Just got the bumper yesterday. Not much more to go. I think I'm gonna spray it with some clear and calls it a day. |

Ok, so it looks like I'm gonna hafta whittle away about 3/16" or so from the back of the gussets as they push the lower grille upwards. Either that or cut notches in the grille to allow the gussets to neatly tuck into it. I think I'm gonna leave it as is too, not adding any extensions to protect the body, cause hell, a little body damage down the road'll just add more character. |

I was also a little worried about how much weight it was gonna add up front and high too, but it's not bad at all, especially considering how burly it is.

Finally had it out for a trail run. No rocks, but had a really fun time with my 4 year old at Allaire State Park. He was driving my (well pretty much his at this point, hahaha) TF2 Marlin, and he was actually trying to follow alot of the lines I was taking. It was really awesome to see the progression to careful, deliberate driving versus the normal hammer down, full throttle bouncing off every bump and jump style of driving he does at home. Here's a few action shots on a crazy bent tree trunk for ya til I get some rock time in. |
