Thanks Fellas! It definitely has a cleaner look that way. That just reaffirmed that I might have to address the cage floor, or the cross brace between the rear shocks. I have a couple ideas, but was trying to be lazy... ![]() Thanks for keeping me straight and on the right path ![]() |

Okay, I got a little more done on her right. The cage is officially mounted to the cab. I’m hoping 4 screws is enough. And I think I’m going to be able to forego messing with the cage floor. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I guess when I stretched the wheelbase a little, I forgot about needing longer driveshafts… I bought some TRX4 driveshafts and didn’t think about them being too short. I had to put the two long ends together to fit one side, which left only short ends for the other, which was not going to work. Back to the drawing board… Last edited by AK KRAWLER; 12-22-2022 at 01:04 AM. |

Thanks man, it’s the little thing that set you back… I do like how it’s turning out though. I got the body just about finished up. ![]() |

Well, some more parts came in. The battery tray showed up, which allowed me to get it and the ESC/Rx tray built and installed. Now to get the body mounted and this one’s ready for wrapping up. ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by AK KRAWLER; 12-22-2022 at 01:02 AM. |

Wow... ![]() That setup with the purple body has a WICKED stance! Very nice side window treatment, as well. |

The truck and purple body are her Christmas present and the other body will be her birthday present ![]() There is a crazy amount of torque twist, but I just remembered I hat I forgot to fill the shocks with oil. I’m hoping that helps some. | |

Well, she was ecstatic when she opened up the truck and has had a little time to drive it around. This dang little trucks seems to be pretty heavy up front and crawls really well. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it did. Next week, when I have some time, I will add oil to the shocks and figure out some spacers for the link ends, as they are pretty sloppy in the pockets. The weather had been pretty cold, 5°F to -15°F, so she was not super interested in being outside. Although she has run it a couple times out there, they were just very short runs. In regards to the chopped and caged silver body, I need to figure out a good hinge system. Last edited by AK KRAWLER; 01-11-2022 at 05:38 PM. |

I just ordered some 3mm x 6mm x 0.5mm shims to solve the sloppy link ends. Honestly, it drives fine, but I can't stand the sound of the link ends shifting around... ![]() |
