I have the Axial builders kit built and was looking to add weight. I ordered the SSD brass weights and rear lock outs, not realizing the lock outs do not work with this kits axles. Does anyone know if the SSD brass weights fit directly onto the SSD Pro44 axle? I did not realize the builders kit axles were different than the other kit/RTR axles. |

Beer&RC, had the same issue with my UMG10. Kit axles are the one piece variety. The SSD brass steering knuckles are a direct bolt on to the Axial one piece AR44 front axle. I bought the Treal brass rear lockouts and after realizing they wouldn’t work with the Axial one piece AR44 rear axle I just bought the other Axial AR44 rear axle and problem solved. Also, the one piece AR44 axle has the lower shock mounts molded into the axle where the other does not, so unless you have extra lower shock mounts on a leftover parts tree you’ll need to get some. I felt completely stupid at first, not realizing that Axial had 2 “different” AR44 axles, but turned out to be an easy fix.
