Yeah - we did some ranting over here (it's an SCX10.3), and kinda ruined the poor guy's thread:

Gladiator no more.. So I decided to buy one

I thought these green Glads' were a joke when I saw the pics floating around the social network!

Had no idea it was real and could be purchased!

certainly criminal TBH... but then again you got to remember that nowadays people are willing to pay hundreds of dollars for a T-shirt made in a 3rd world country by cheap almost slave like labor just because some major celebrity/influencer gets paid thousands of dollars for wearing it and claiming to be the best. its all about sales tactics and suckers that buy into it.

Perfectly alright - a while earlier I spaced out and was thinking the missing last letter from Mary Poppin was the letter "g"...

I'm may be getting too old for this, although I just tried to recapture my youth by buying a 1/24th rig!

Mary Popping must be a porn skit somewhere.

An scx24 is much cheaper mid-life crisis than a Dodge Challenger...lol . If it doesn't work little is lost. Seems like a safe call

I didn't like the lack of detail on the SCX24, the bodies, wheels, and tires are too boring - even the aftermarket tire treads don't look good - I picked up the new FMS Power Wagon hard body truck - portals, 2spd... still need to install the faux fuel tank it comes with and maybe fab up an exhaust:

It’s much cooler looking than the mini deadbolt I picked up awhile back. I hope yours gets more use than mine

Saw that on Harley's Scale News Update...

I am just trying to picture the guy that would brag about buying that thing, and trying to imagine what he'd say about it...
"Yeah, I am a douche with more money than common sense. Sure, the truck looks funny, but if you think you hate it now, wait until you drive it..."

"Yeah, it's just like your 10.3 but it looks funny due to its high suspension and small tires. It also comes in Horizon Elite Sucker Exclusive Green. Can you believe I only had to pay $1100 USD for it!?"

Right! You can build a way cooler one-off rig for less than that & it’ll probably crawl better!

After getting our weekly kicks to the ding ding at the gas pumps getting bent over buying an overpriced crawler would seem almost “normal”………..
I second your idea of building a one-off. No way in hell would I shell out the money for this Axial.

You could grab a TRX6, with battery and charger, throw on a set of Hyrax and it's still cheaper.

You still get a 2-speed, remote diffs, portals with actual gear reduction, tires that fit properly (that aren't half bad for RTR tires)

All on a chassis that's more than proven itself.

Not to mention it's a 6x6, you get an additional half a truck for less.
