Vanquish wheels clear the portals with any size hub so it mostly a matter of how wide you want your truck. 350 is probably the most common hub but I like to tuck the wheels in as much as possible so I'm running SSD standard width hubs (about equal to a 225 hub).

Don't get the Vanquish 105 style wheels that have the 1.0" wide clamp rings; unless, you have both foams and tires that will fit them. I always go with any of the other styles of Vanquish wheels which all have the 0.80" clamp rings.

Well, of course those are the wheels I have on order. I have searched around and do not see any recommendations for these wheels other than they are a pain to work with if the foams are too wide (Proline?). Anyone have a recommended tire/foam combo for the Vanquish Method 105 wheels?

I have read many on this site who have been able to contact Crawler Creations and they have been able to assist them with selecting the right size foams for their applications. Here is their site, they are on this forum as well. Give them a shot as I feel with a quick conversation they will be able to get you the right foams the first time. https://crawlerinnovations.com/ |

There is nothing wrong with the Vanquish 105 wheels. The main reason I use them is specifically because they are wider. However, I have had an ongoing issue with CI foams being too narrow and sliding side to side inside the wheel. I have gotten to the point that I have started machining radial grooves around the OD of the wheel can in order to provide the foam something to grip on to.

Good advice, I also like LockedUpRC 0.185 SLW hubs. .185 SLW Compatible Hex hub also in black anodized. .185 SLW Compatible Hex hub Black And I only buy 1" wide beadlock 1.9s, VP standard width is too narrow and does not give the tires a good foot print. Some of my favorite wheels are good old RC4WD stamped steel beadlocks. Last edited by Natedog; 04-07-2020 at 06:43 PM.
