Micro servos better than sx107? In the shop where I'm a regular customer, they have spectrum sx107 in stock and I am considering whether it's good to buy them or not for scx10 iii kit which I'm going to buy soon. What do you think guys? I've seen some posts saying that spectrum sx107 used to have a trouble in Capra. I'm thus hesitating to buy sx107. |
Re: Micro servos better than sx107? I have seen the same thing about these servos. I have also seen others asking questions about other micro servos and them not fitting as well as not having the servo saver part that fits the parts included with the kit. I did not want to have to mess around with this and just wanted to build it so I got the Spektrum servos. I figure they are $15 each and by the time they fail (if they do) others will have tried and recommend other servos and what you need to make them work. |

Re: Micro servos better than sx107? The Power HD TR-4 servo is supposed to be a drop in replacement, but I haven't personally confirmed that. https://www.powerhobby.com/power-hd-...4-crawler.html Something to note is that only the SX107 comes with the other half of the servo saver. For this TR-4 servo you have to use a servo horn or somehow get your hands on the piece of the servo saver that is included with the SX107. |
Re: Micro servos better than sx107? You can use other servos with the Axial AX31009 part - there are 23, 24, and 25 spline safer adaptors included. But unfortunately the most micro servos like the Power HD for TRX-4 do not work good with the SCX10-III as ist is designed for the SX107. The most other servos have a to short upper part and a to long lower part. I now have mounted a Turnigy micro servo for the dig but this works not good as the lever for the DIG is to short with this servo and i have to extend the lever.. |

I use the Power HD micro servos in my TRX-4 and there they work excellent. |
