Default Dig/4WD throw dimension

Instructions (bottom of C4) indicate an exposed shaft dimension of 6.99mm with DIG engaged and 0.89mm in 4WD mode.

The total travel on my assembly is about 4mm.
This means while I have the 6.99mm with DIG engaged, I have about 3mm of exposed shaft in 4WD instead of 0.89mm

I'm thinking this is another typo but I'm not sure which number is wrong. Has anyone else run into this issue?

I am right about at the 6.99 engaged and .89 disengaged. Just measured it to check. Are you measuring it without the servo connected or connected? My measurements were with it connected.

Another thought, have you spun the transmission while it is disengaged? The trans needs to spin a little to fully disengage the dig and the shaft to go fully in to place.

I am measuring without the servo connected.

Also I made sure to spin the transmission to fully engage and disengage the DIG mechanism. I'll try and post a picture.

Now I'm worried I have a gear in backwards or something, although everything went together very smoothly.

I should also add that it functions correctly. It engages and disengages the rear axle connection smoothly.

Maybe someone else here has some ideas, 2mm off seems a little odd. Do you have the rig up and running yet? If it is functioning properly under load I'm not sure if I'd worry a whole lot.

Okay, so I guess was up too late working on this. When I went to take some pictures to post here the measurements look correct. I think my calipers may not have been zeroed last night and I was too tired to notice.

Sorry for the false alarm...

I do actually have another question regarding installation of my Axe 540 brushless motor system that I will post in a new thread.
