Rich just showed it off a few minutes ago, 13.9" wheelbase to fit the body which is awesome. $20 more.
I like to see manufactures getting out of the same old 12.3" pigeon hole.

They were pretty entertaining today. The unexpected visit from Rich and his goodies was a bonus.

We've seen the rumors, but now it's official. You can pre-order the Gladiator on Horizon's website for $519.99. It has a 14" wheelbase and a little bit of a dropped bed. I think they did a great job on this one! If you pre-order by the 23rd of August, you'll get one from the first shipment, so it sounds like they have some ready to go. Who's going to get one?

Looks really good. I still have a 10.3 kit I'm dialing in and a vs410 Ulta I'm building or I'd be on board. I'd prefer a kit over a RTR though.

Is it just me or are the super long rear links going to mess up the geometry of the rear suspension? I would have liked to see a longer skid with much shorter links.

So what gives it the longer wheelbase? Frame rails or links or combination of both?

Definitely wondering the same.

Both. The old frame couldn’t be stretched only shortened so I believe they’ve added an extension for this one, and the rear links are quite long.

All III's have the telescoping frame. The rear portions on this are just longer than the standard.

Done. But not without giving vbulletin a chance to throw some shade

I think Panther was on a mission at one point trying to figure out how to stretch the first 10.3 chassis and we learned it could only be shortened. Good to know it’s just longer in the rear and that there’s not a 3rd extension piece involved.

Thanks for combining threads. I figured there was probably another one out there, but went for it anyways.

I pre-ordered mine in grey!

Kinda wish they didn't put that rack on the back. Looks like if you remove it, there would be several mounting holes including the back of the C pillar.

So ive have been a long time lurker, this may be my first post. I have a question for you knowledgeable and experienced individuals.

I was looking at getting the wrangler kit but just kept putting it off and now i see the gladiator rtr and i want it badly. Thing is i dont really want a rtr but a kit to build. So do you guys think the gladiator will get a kit? I was surprised when i found no kit available or even announced while looking at popular retailers. Also for any that have had both a kit and a rtr of the same model, are the rtr the exact same thing but one is build for you? i have never owned any rtr models.

thanks in advance for any replies.

No, Rich has already said there are no plans for a kit. for the time being the best you can do is a RTR, though he did say a clear body will be coming eventually.

Axial used to add upgrades to their kits but that has kind of gone away, they often have some differences in the axles or tranny used in the past but I'm unsure with the 10.3.
