Default 10-3 RTR adding 2 speed

I've tried searching for the answer with no luck.

I have the RTR 10-3 I'm swapping to a 5 channel radio and want to add a shift servo to make the 2 speed functional. Aside from the servo (reefs99) and servo horn is there any other parts needed?

Should be no other parts you need (except maybe a few screws), there is a spacer on the transmission shift rod that locks the 2 speed in place. Take that spacer out, hook up the servo, set the endpoints, and you should be good.

If you haven't already download the manual from the kits so you have it all broken down to see any changes in the transmission that need to be done. Good luck

The miscellaneous parts that came with the truck has the screws and servo horn in the bag all you need to do is get another servo just like the dig servo and a servo extension because the leads on the micro servos spektrum sells are way to short to reach anywhere. The micro servo also comes with the splined part that the spring and servo arm slide onto.

As stated before the transmission has a spacer inside to lock it into 1st gear. You will have to pull the transmission out of the truck and split the case apart to get the spacer off of the shift arm.

As a side note I had a hard time getting the shift servo into place because the wires coming out of the case interfere where the servo mounts.
