Issue with Warn 9.5 cti Mounting Issue

I purchased an RC4WD Warn 9.5 cti winch to mount on my KYX aluminum stinger bumper with winch holes and it just does not line up with the 4 different holes that came with the winch. Do I need to buy the RC4WD universal 9.5 cti mount plate kit or (cringe) drill new holes in the bumper?
