Default Hinging the JLU body?

Has anyone come up with a way to put a hinge setup on the JLU body? I hate body clips and want to eliminate them. I know the velcro and the magnet methods. They work ok, but where I drive there are some spots with big rollover possibilities. The magnets and velcro don't hold well.
any thoughts and pictures would be awesome.

This is a lexan body right?
I have hinged hard bodies, no lexan yet.

Heres my procedure:
Screw traxxas part # 3923 into a body post (non existant on lexan bodies) that has to be glued to the body. I would reinforce the body too. Then you need a hinge mechanism. Mechano construction pieces can help. Assemble and done. Still a pretty labor intensive lrocess for a lexan body

I'll look at it a little closer. Labor intensive is nothing compared to trying to take the stupid body clips off. They're under the body and are such a pain to use. Especially if you have big fingers.

Even if you hinge one end, how do you propose to secure the other end? Typically that is done with body clips.
