That flat clear on the interior looks great. I've considered getting some felt, or some fabric to cover my floor with. If I never get around to that, the flat clear looks like a good option.

Thanks, it really is amazing how just a little bit of simple detail really makes everything pop.

That being said, taking this body apart was the biggest pain in the ass I have ever had with a body. The tail lights are the worst.

Finally got the tire from RC4wd for my matching spare. They worked with me and got a me a special order single tire. I was impressed with their customer service.

Got a sweet new grill. Much better. Just a little paint work to set it off.

Definitely a better looking grill than stock. You've got some room for detail behind it to show off now.

The license plates + the matching spare are killer details too.

While none of those details are standouts on their own, they all combine into one very realistic looking truck. Now I want to paint my headlight bezels chrome.

Thanks, for the reply. I'm trying to work a canvas bikini top into the build. I'm just trying to figure out the best way to do it. Getting some fabric texture integrated into it will add to the eye candy.

Finally got this truck out today. I also did some crawling at our local indoor course but didn't get any pics of it there. This thing is much better suited as a trail truck than a rock crawler, not surprisingly. On to some pics and and a video. I was trying out my new DJI omo 5 at the same time. The tracking feature is pretty cool.

Yeah, I classify mine as an "extreme" (lame, I know) trail truck. There isn't really a trail it won't make it up.

But it's not a rock crawler. Too much weight, too much body.

But I find it fun to drive any vehicle within its own limitations. Even my old UDR, I always had a blast driving it like a real trophy truck. Conservative on the jumps, reckless through the whoops.

I find the same thing fun with my Bronco. Even unrealistic lines that the Bronco can pull get boring fast. The most exciting thing for me is scouting realistic lines, and connecting them to the next realistic line.

And I've got the Maxxtrax on board for when I guess incorrectly.

By the way, the grill looks even better out in the sunlight. You can really see through that thing with some sunlight going through it. Your painted radiator is a very nice touch.

Thanks, I’m pretty happy how it turned out.

On my first run I had a giant 5000mAh battery in it in the back location and I was getting frustrated with how easy it flipped over backwards. On this run I went with a 2200mAh one and put it in the side mount on the slider and I could tell a pretty good difference. I think it might need some underdrive gears in the rear now to get it to climb even better.

Love these details. Did you use paint and brush, or just a paint pen?

Tower has these Broncos with box damage in their "Scratch & Dent" and I have one on its way. Some flat clear and detailing is definitely in order when it arrives.

I also switched away from a 5000MAH hard case on the rear tray, to a 2200MAH soft case on the side tray.

Surprisingly, much better. It takes a pretty ridiculous angle to roll my Bronco now. I also added weight on the axles, and removed the scale engine.

What did you add to the axles for weight? Knuckles? Any brass? I think the front on mine could seriously benefit from it. I do have C-hubs to get rid of the plastic axle side trackbar mount.

To my front axle:

SSD's heavy brass knuckles and brass differential cover.

To my rear axle:

SSD's rear brass axle weights and brass differential cover.

Both axles also have SSD's steel 8 spoke wheels, which add weight also. I bought the SSD brass from RPP.

My Bronco is pretty heavy now. I'm guessing 8-9 LBS. Up front I'm running Axial's extra firm (yellow) springs. Out back are Axial's firm (green) springs. My shocks have been limited to 90MM so the springs are the 62MM tall springs and not the ones that fit the 100MM shocks.

Thanks for the info. I’m running TRX-4 90 mm shocks already but I think I need some firmer springs in the front. As far as weight goes, I’m not sure if I want to run any brass or not.
