Default 10.3 as a crawler

Ive been looking at the 10.3 jeep for some time now. For those of you that have one, how is it as a crawler stock out of the box. I am looking at the rtr. I currently have the ecto and I have been more than pleased with it as of yet

Mine is the Bronco. Box stock I'd describe it as a trail truck with a strong ability to crawl.

I can't imagine it'd ever out crawl a buggy, but for a heavy, full-bodied rig, I was surprised by how well it did in the rocks.

For a guy like me who will probably never compete, it crawls better than I'll ever need it to.

Yeah I agree with Fallen on this as well it's a great trail rig that can crawl well. That said my scx10.2 xj can out crawl my 10.3 in some situations in others the 10.3 takes lines I can't even try because of the portals. It's all going to depend on where and how you use it as to how well it does.

For sure. I almost picked one up but I really don’t need another truck lol. That would make 6 rigs.

I have an unbuilt 10.3 kit in my garage, and I’m still thinking about ordering another one…

Do it!

The 10 III is a trail truck that can do some crawling. I think of it like a TRX-4 Defender that traded in lockers for dig.
The closer you get a 10 III to a 10 II, the better it crawls. My buddy's 10 III lives in my shop (and on my course) and
like... 20% of the original vehicle remains.

That said, at $299 for the kit, even I'm tempted.

10.2 can turn into a pretty capable cralwer. The 10.3 transmissions are so heavy
