Default Gladiator no more.. So I decided to buy one

Well that’s a bummer.. I’ve been wanting a gladiator for a hot minute and keep putting it off. I decided to pick one up before they’re gone for good

Wow, that’s interesting. I figured they sold pretty good. That sucks, I feel it’s the best looking 10iii you can get, with the bronco not too far behind. Hopefully the clear body is gonna stay around for a little bit.

What’s also weird is the red one is still marked as available on Amain, but the grey one I can’t even get it to pull up. I can’t see why they would just discontinue one color though, so I’m sure the red version isn’t too far behind.

It’s funny, I have been trying to sell mine since I took it out of the box. Now that it is discontinued I should be able to get $800.00 for it.

I never thought that would happen! I thought they performed fairly well.

Glad I have one sitting in my garage!

Well……. I just bought one haha
My old man sold a plane on consignment at his lhs and couldn’t find a way to spend his store credit.
Well they had a red gladiator on the shelf so we swapped. Not sure when I’ll have it in my possession but I’m glad I was able to snag one.

Default Gladiator no more

The mailman dropped this bad dog off today. It will be getting a mamba x with 1900kv motor Dred805 hooked me up with. I think I’m going to try a shift rc s2 servo and some mt/r tires but I’m unsure of wheels at the moment

Right out of the box it looks great. I’m surprised it’s been discontinued.

Sweet! Can't wait to see it completed and out on the rocks!

I too and still surprised it has been discontinued! It wasn't even out very long. Maybe Axial has other plans for the Gladiator in the future. Who knows!

Nice score! I'm glad you were able to get one.

I hope this isn't a sign of things to come for Axial. They haven't been too fast about discontinuing models, but maybe the success of these Flash Sales has pushed them in a new direction.

Make something new. Flash Sale to push ALL of them out the door. Move on to a new model. I hope it doesn't go that way.

Gladiator is a fun rig. I like the long wheelbase. The gray one still seems to be available on Horizon's site.

Thanks guys! I’m looking forward to this build. Then driving it like a mad man.. the shift rc servo showed up today, my initial thought is this thing will be super nice at 8v. Plugged it in to center it up and it’s quiet. Just how I like it.
Some 4.75 skinny rc4wd Mt/R’s showed up also. Got those mounted to some knock off type r wheels.
The bowhouse Panhard brace showed up also, I’m going to go through and grease the axles, install the brace and swap to some trx4 shocks while I’m at it.
Stay tuned!

Nice start!

Wheel and tire combo looks great! I really need to get a set of those Wrangler MT/R's. They are a great looking tire!

Thanks B-Mow, I really like the way they look I hope they perform. Got the mamba x all mounted.. found out they built the dang thing backwards bumped the bec to 8v to give that shift servo the most power I can and I’ll see how long til the micro servo gives up the smoke haha
The Traxxas springs had this thing sitting too tall for my liking so I swapped them out for some proline springs I had laying around. If the weather holds I’ll get to run this thing on Sunday.

She got some new wheels, plans for wheeling this weekend were ruined by an atmospheric river. So I’ve been wrenching instead. I may have to do some sort of ifr ring in the future

I think that green is showing off the Elite version of the Gladiator.

I’m glad to see they’re not disappearing.

Yeah you are probably right, never seen the elite version before.

Is it just me, or does that math seem a little sus?

$1100 for a gladiator with shocks, wheels, tires and an accessory kit?

I don't think thats enough exclusives to justify the scx6 pricetag
