| Ummmmm Gee. It's a 10III
So I have been waiting for an afordable 10.3 to come out since the first one came out... And there are way too many jeeps anyway. Unboxed and ready for mods... So let me introduce my scalish Scx10-3 using the umg cab from the 10.2... Last edited by lonleycreeper; 08-14-2022 at 11:36 AM. |

The 10.3 Unimog looks like a fun project. The cab looks great!

Excellent! I can’t wait to see what you do with it and hear what you think of the 10.3.

A solid idea for a portal platform. Sadly I believe that cab was discontinued? With the popularity of portals I am surprised Look forward to seeing the build unfold |

That’s looking good already. Are you going to detail the interior or keep it lighter?

| Re: Ummmmm Gee. It's a 10III I am debating on that, and it kind of has me at a standstill. My rigs all are a cross between comp and Scale, usually with stock drivetrain, but on the very light side. BUttttt heavy rigs do move more realistically, buttttt this not a true Unimog...It just kind of looks like one.

Working on some lightweight options... Box made from foam board for mockup, and ease of construction... Last edited by lonleycreeper; 07-03-2022 at 11:19 AM. |

Foam board is a good idea. I wonder how it compares to styrene weight-wise. Another idea might to build a scale interior as a drop-in insert. Since the back is basically just a box, you could have a box with a fully detailed interior that slides in from the top. The roof could be held in place with magnets, body clips, Velcro, whatever. |

Well, body is mounted, well enough to take on a run... Front bumper fits pretty good imo, 1/4" thick slab shaped, bent and mounted. Right side fuel tank/slider mounted, trying to drum up some more aluminum for the left side... |
